Fiftyeighth Month of Luna Sent

As she enters her fiftyeighth month on Planet Earth, our Moon Child is discovering the joy of getting her brother into mischief, with the latter being a very willing accomplice. The routine after dinner for Luna involves going upstrairs to put on her pyjamas. That is, this is the way mom would like to see it, but Luna and her brother much prefer to jump on mom's bed (row below).
The next part of the routine involves watching (part of) a DVD on the couch downstairs (row below). And yet again, Luna and her brother do their utmost to prolong the time until they have to go to bed.
Luna gets to go on a school trip to "Het land van Jan Klaassen" (left). Wearing a special t-shirt and holding on tight to Iris's hand, she is very excited about the prospect.
Unfortunately, mom does not get to join Luna on the trip, instead she wishes Luna a fun day as she boards the bus (right). Opa Ben and Lior are also there to wave bye-bye.
When Luna's street is turned into a children's play ground for the day, she gets to hang out on the inflatable jumper (left).
There is a game circuit that includes the use of a water gun (right). Luna takes her task so seriously that she appears not to enjoy herself, but this is far from true.
Luna makes the obstacle course extra challenging by insisting on wearing her hand bag and holding on to her candy (left).
After all this hard work, it is time for a break with the neighbor children and with a delicious pancake (right). Luna is fortunate to have such wonderful neighbors!
Our little lady has moved from bath 1 to bath 2 to bath 3 and has two more to go before she can get her swimming certificate (left). Mom feels so proud when she sees her daughter in the pool by herself.
Luna has gotten a hang of the technique, but needs to develop a little more strength before she is able to swim without her wings (right). This is no surprise given the fact that she is the youngest in her swim class!
Luna celebrates World Animal Day (October 4) with a visit to some horses and sheep (row below). Thanks to frequent visits to the petting zoo and thanks to Opa Tano and Oma Naatje's donkeys, Luna shows no fear of animals at all.

Hip, Hip, Hurray!
Fifty-eight months old!

Only two more months and our little lady will turn five years old. She is truly a little lady now and mom is glad she can still carry Luna, but wonders how much longer she will be able to do so. Every now and then, Luna wakes up at night with growing pains in her legs. Or is she just looking for an excuse to crawl into her mom's bed? Regardless, Esther-Mirjam loves to snuggle with het sweet daughter.
