Fiftyfourth Month of Luna Sent

As she enters her fiftyfourth month on Planet Earth, our Moon Lady enjoys dressing up. She looks gorgeous in the flower girl dress that she will wear at the wedding of Michelle and Hans in August (middle right) and she looks cute as a princess/pirate/butterfly (far right). She seems to have had quite a growth spurt turning her into a tall lady, and hopefully she will not grow much more before the wedding in August!
The nice spring weather means that Luna gets to hang out in the backyard bath wearing her new swimsuit (left). She needed a new swimsuit because her old one had become quite worn as a result of her weekly swimming lessons. She is one of the youngest children in her group, but doing just as well as her fellow swimmers, thanks to the time she spent in the pool as a baby and toddler.
Mom returns from her trip to China with a dress that looks so cute on her pretty girl (row below). Esther-Mirjam drags Luna way from her drawing to pose in the darling dress. Luna loves to draw and likes it even better when there is a puzzle element involved. "Color all areas with 1 blue...." When Lior watches his after-dinner DVD, Luna happily sits back at the table for some drawing.
Luna usually has play dates on Wednesdays and Fridays, when her grandparents babysit and the school is closed for the afternoon. Recently, she also discovered the fun of having lunch dates when her mom is home on Thursdays. After a quick bite, there is a little time left to play in the back yard with Isis (left and right).
One of the nice things about the weather turning better, is that Luna goes on day trips. Here, she visits the Dolfinarium, an aquarium (row below, middle). She pets the rays with Aafke (row below, left) and plays in the boat on the play ground (row below, right).
Really, best thing about the Dolfinarium is that it has a big play ground (row below, left and middle). Going down the slides, climbing on the play structures, and playing in the sand is really much more fun than watching the fish, as far as Luna is concerned. That is, the seal show also ranks high on Luna's list of favorite things at the Dolfinarium (row below, right).
Another nice thing about the weather turning better, is that Luna gets to enjoy watermelon (left and right). She learned to enjoy watermelon during her trip to Canada a year ago. And when she saw a picture of a watermelon in a book about a year later, she asked her mom to buy one for her. Luna has an astonishing memory, indeed!
Though Luna does not really need a hair cut, she gets one anyway to show her brother that hair cuts do not hurt (row below). In fact, they can be quite fun when one gets to watch a DVD!
Luna goes to dance class every Saturday. Her little brother joins her for the first part of the class (row below). The two move so quickly, that mom is unable to get a good picture of her two dancing darlings (row below, right).
The class is devoted partly to dancing and partly to dressing up, putting on make up, and performing in a play (row below). Luna likes it all!
For her next day trip, Luna goes to the Apenheul in Apeldoorn (left, top), along with Sanne (right, top) and papa. A day trip is not complete without some french fries and something to drink, of course (left, middle and bottom). In between watching the monkeys, Luna poses with her sunglasses and those of papa (right, middle and bottom). After the fun day at the Apenheul, Luna gets to go to McDonald's for the second time in her young life (bottom, middle). Here, the toy is much more fun than the food. That is, it is in close competition with the slide at McDonald's! After the fun-filled day, Luna falls asleep in the car seat while wearing her sunglasses (bottom, left and right).

Hip, Hip, Hurray!
Fiftyfour Months Old!

Life is pretty good for our Moon Lady. She loves going to school and playing with her friends. Her grandparents come over two days of the week, while mom is home one day a week. She is a caring sister to her younger brother. That is, most of the time! She goes to swimming lessons and dance classes. And she is a very sweet and smart girl. There is nothing more one could ask for, really!
