Fortyfirst Month of Luna Sent

As our Moon Toddler enters her fortyfirst month on Planet Earth, she gets to visit Den Haag and Scheveningen yet again. This time it is to visit Pépin and his family (right). Esther-Mirjam and Pépin used to study together in Amsterdam.
Pépin is now married to Marloes and the proud papa of Maxim and Quinten. Unfortunartely, Quinten is gone all day. Fortunately, Luna still gets to play with his toys. She loves the opportunity to try all kinds of new toys!
Luna has lots of fun playing with her grandparents when they come over to babysit (row below, left and right). However, they tire her out so much that she falls asleep on Opa Ben's lap on Tuesday and Opa Tano's lap on Friday (row below, middle).
Spring is in the air! And this calls for a lovely bike ride through the Wijchense, Hatertse & Overasseltse Vennen. Luna gets to stretch her legs during a break (row below, left) and pose with her young brother (row below, middle). Albert kindly offers to take a picture of mom & daughter, but perhaps they should not have taken him up on his offer (row below, right)!
Luna loves to play games with Opa Ben. After he has built a lego tower (row below, left), she pushes it over (row below, middle), which gives her a big laugh (row below, right).
And when Opa Tano comes over, Luna gets to play on the slide with her little brother (row below). It is hard to decide who likes this better, Luna or Lior!
Here are the two faces of Luna, happy (left) and serious (right). Luna regularly has her so-called philosophical moments when she seems to be lost in thought.
Going for a walk with Luna takes forever, because she observes many interesting things along the way. Here she has discovered a dandelion that must be picked up and whose seeds must be blown away (row below).
The slide in the back yard is one of Luna's favorite hang-outs (row above). And also when playing on the slide can she be caught day-dreaming (left and right).
Mom has her hands full with Luna and Lior, but she does not mind this at all (row below). To the contrary! Luna loves her little brother, as long as she gets plenty of attention herself!
On Queen's Day, the Sent clan visits the Goffert Park in Nijmegen, where Luna plays on a huge inflatable sports center. With only a little help, she makes her way through it (row below).
There is also a face painter in the Goffert Park on Queen's Day (middle right). Of course, Luna asks to be turned into a little princess (far right).
And there is a "Jan Klaassen" puppet show that grabs Luna's attention (top left). She gets to enjoy the show from the comfort of a chair (bottom left). And her mom tells her not to leave her chair until mom has come to fetch her. She listens very well, for she waits all by herself when all the children have gone already.
The next day, Ascension Thursday, Luna and Albert take it easy during the morning by reading a book on the couch (middle right). And during the afternoon they go to the circus (far right), where Luna and Lior are fascinated by the ballet act of the clowns.
When warm weather hits the Netherlands, Luna gets to wear her new summer outfit while going to the playground with Opa Ben and Oma Alie (row below).
Luna is very caring towards her young brother. He gets a big smile whenever he sees her (row below, left). This may be because she shares her ice-cream with him (row below, middle). Or it may be because Lior gets lots of hugs and kisses from Luna (row below, right).
One of the best things about the sun is that one gets to look cool wearing mom's sun glasses (row below)!
When Opa Ben and Oma Alie come over on Tuesdays, they usually spend the morning going grocery shopping for the Sent clan and the afternoon visiting the petting zoo, where Luna gets to pet a rabbit (row below, left), have a drink (row below, middle), and pose on a cow with Opa Ben (row below, right).
When the weather turns summer-like in the Netherlands, Luna gets to play in the bath outside. She entertains herself (and her mom) by blowing bubbles (row above). And she relaxes in the sun (left) and poses for her mom (right).
Of course, Lior also gets to enjoy the summer fun. He plays with Luna in the sand box (middle right) and goes in the bath outside with her (far right). After this, the two get ushered upstairs by mom for a real bath!
When Mother's Day is around the corner, Luna makes beautiful paintings for Oma Alie and Oma Naatje (left). She seems to be more interested in the process than the product of the painting!
It looks like Luna is fully potty trained (right). Yippee! She has a few accidents, but is learning quickly, helped by the fact that she gets a small present after each day without any accidents.
For Mother's Day, Luna treats her mom to a delicious box of chocolats and visits Oma Alie (far left) and Oma Naatje (middle left). She is lucky to have such loving grandmothers!

Before going to bed, mom always reads a story to Luna, sings "Old MacDonald" and "Ting, Ting," gives her daughter a big hug and a kiss, and tells Luna that she loves her. Luna also likes to read stories to her mom, as you can see in the video clip that you can access by clicking on the link below. In this story, a princess gets ready for a ball during which she meets the prince with whom she gets married. And they live happily ever after. Life is good when you are a toddler!

When Luna spends a night at Opa Tano and Oma Naatje's, neighbor-girl Victoria comes over immediately. She hangs out in the sand box with Luna and Lior (row below, left), shows them how the water toy works (row below, middle), and pretends to go to bed with Luna (row below, right). Luna is quite preoccupied with the present she just received as a reward for her potty-training efforts.
After all the fun outside, it is high time for Luna and Lior to have a bath inside (row below). The bath is barely big enough for our Moon Child and Sun Baby! Might this be the reason that that Luna's brother tries to get out? Fortunately, Luna keeps him from doing so!

Hip, Hip, Hurray!
Forty-one Months Old!

Though we celebrated Luna's monthday, as usual, this month, we did not take any pictures! There are plenty of our pretty young lady anyway!
