Fourth Month of Luna Sent

Little Luna's fourth month gets off to a great start! During a follow-up visit at the hospital, Luna weighs in at a healthy 4,785 grams (10.53 US pounds) and measures 57 centimeters. What a change from the 2,100 grams and 45 centimeters that made her lovely appearance three months ago! Better yet, the doctor is no longer able to detect the heart murmur that she heard during the previous visit (left). As a result, Luna says her final farewell the hospital. On the same day, Luna picks up her passport so she can accompany her mom during conference trips abroad (right). She puts on her traveling cap in anticipation (middle).

If you offer your chest to Luna, she gladly falls asleep on it! Ome Albert, one of the last close relatives to make it onto Luna's website, is happy to oblige.(For the record, Luna's head looks oddly shaped because of the shadow cast by the flash light.)
With the arrival of their new bed and car, Luna and Esther-Mirjam are close to being completely settled in their new life together. Before heading to her baby massage class, Luna waits on the bed for her mom to get the car seat ready (left). And after the class, she travels home safely on the back seat of the car (right).
Little Luna puts on a dashing denim skirt in preparation of visiting her girlfriend, Iris (middle). The two are happy to see each other at first (left), but seem to start throwing punches at each other after a while (right). Esther-Mirjam and Iris's mom, Irene, know each other from their delivery preparation class and their pregnancy fitness class. So much has changed for both of them since they last saw each other! They enjoy exchanging "proud mom" stories and going for a walk with their darling daughters.
As she experiences her first Spring day, Luna is taken for a long walk by her mom. Upon return, Esther-Mirjam does not want to disturb her daughter's sleep, so Luna gets to spend some bonus time in the back yard!
Luna is becoming an even more endearing baby as she starts throwing an abundance of smiles at her family fan club (left). She also loves to talk to them (middle). Her vocabulary consists of words like "prrrt," "krrr," and "arrra." Not bad for a girl of just over three months, eh? Overall, Luna seems a very content little lady (right).
Luna and Esther-Mirjam have lots of fun going baby swimming once a week. That is, perhaps mom enjoys it more than her daughter! Luna seems happiest when wrapped in a warm towel afterwards (bottom).
Luna enjoys visiting her grandparents during her first Easter. And her mom continues to enjoy taking pictures of her little treasure. Fortunately, Luna loves to hang out with the Easter Bunny. The task for you is to find the real Easter Bunny in these pictures.
One the one hand, Esther-Mirjam is sad that her time with Luna seems to be flying by so quickly. On the other hand, she is happy that her daughter has become such a big girl that she wants to sleep through the night. Luna often eats at 11 PM, goes to sleep shortly afterwards (left), and does not wake up until 6 or 7 AM (right). Truth be told, Daylight Saving Time is also helping a little! In another "step towards independence", Luna is now sleeping in her own room (middle). This way her mumbling does not keep her mom awake and her mom's coughing does not keep her awake. At the same time, her crying makes it to Esther-Mirjam's ears without any problems. Lo and behold, it sure looks like Luna has two new moon decorations in her room (middle)! Her mom could not resist the moon mirror for her shining star, and Oma Alie and Opa Ben found the musical moon that is now hanging above Luna's bed to be irresistible.

Besides the Maxi Cosi (car seat), Baby Björn (carrier), and Bugaboo (stroller), Luna gets to enjoy a new means of transportation: the Dolphin (bicycle trailer). That is, she sleeps through the entire experience!
Luna and Esther-Mirjam (left) enjoy taking five baby massage classes from Ineke (right). Esther-Mirjam also took birthing classes and post-pregnancy fitness classes from Ineke. She is grateful to Ineke for having made her pregnancy and first months with Luna extra special. The massage relaxes Luna so much that she falls into a deep sleep afterwards (middle).
When Esther-Mirjam has a reunion with the women from her birthing class, Luna gets to hang out with the other little ones. She is hiding behind the boy in the green shirt (below). Luna puts on some fancy clothes (left) and yet another traveling cap (right) for the occasion.
Esther-Mirjam tries to get Luna off to an early start when it comes to playing the piano (left). However, Luna does not seem all that interested (right).
Esther-Mirjam and Luna have a wonderful meeting with other single moms and their children. Esther-Mirjam had already met the moms "virtually" through an email list. At the pancake house, everybody is studying the menu carefully (below). Luna is awake at first (left), but sleeps through most of the day (right).
Luna accompanies her mom to Spain, where Esther-Mirjam has been invited to a conference. Luna gets to hang out in yet another stroller before boarding the plane (left). While on board, she has two ladies making sure all is well with little Luna (middle). Once in Spain, Luna has to pose once more in her tagged car seat (right).
While in Madrid, Luna visits the Royal Palace (top left). Her "nanny," Tante Irma, poses with Luna in front of the Senate (bottom left).
Luna is not sure she likes her hotel bed, despite the toys that were brought along for her (top right). It is amazing how many supplies a little baby requires (bottom right). Fortunately, most of it gets used up during the trip.

Hip, Hip, Hurray! Four months old!

Luna gets to celebrate her fourth month day in Madrid, where Esther-Mirjam and Tante Irma sing "Happy Month Day To You" for the little lady. Luna gives her hat and garlands a thumbs up!
