Thirtyninth Month of Luna Sent

Our Moon Toddler's thirtyninth month on Planet Earth gets off to a wonderful start with a weekend at Opa Tano and Oma Naatje's "farm". If mama would let her, Luna would have a different place to stay every weekend, but Esther-Mirjam also wants to enjoy the presence of her darling daughter!
The two donkeys are fed by Luna (row above, left and right), but the chicken with her baby chicks is not too thrilled with Luna's presence (right). Luna also visits Oma-Mama Spann (row above, middle) and christens the tree (an "Es", or Ash) that she gave to Opa Tano and Oma Naatje on occasion of their wedding anniversary, the "Mama Essie Tree" (left).
Every Tuesday, Luna gets to have fun with Opa Ben. They usually start off playing a game or doing a puzzle (row below, middle). Luna can now do puzzles with no fewer than 24 pieces. What a girl! Then they go to the petting zoo and playground (row below, left), where they take a break with something to drink (row below, right).
Luna visits Dierenpark Wissel in Epe with Albert, Lior, and mama (left). This is a small zoo for small animals. A very kind staff members gives Luna some additional information on the animals that may be admired at the zoo.
The best part of the visit to the zoo as far as Luna is concerned is the fact that a very friendly young man (right) turns our Moon Toddler...
...into a very scary tiger (left). He does such a good job that one barely recognizes Luna underneath the tiger stripes.
Luna, Lior, and Esther-Mirjam are very fortunate that Oma Alie and Opa Ben go grocery shopping for them every Tuesday (row below, left and right). Oma Naatje and Opa Tano do the same on Friday. Luna has acquired lots of "smurfen", but her set is not complete yet (row below, middle). If you have any doubles, Luna would love to have them!
Aafke and her friend Sanne take Luna and Lior to the petting zoo (row above, middle), where Luna plays on the playground (row above, left and right), feeds the animals (left) and sits on a cow (right). Not a bad life with weekly trips to the petting zoo, eh?!
Luna's little brother now joins her in the bathtub (row below). Luna is not always thrilled with having to share her toys, but a short conversation explaining the situation to her does wonders.
When a storm hits the Netherlands, Esther-Mirjam does what lots of crazy Dutch people do on such an occasion, she goes to the beach. After a walk along the beach in Scheveningen (row below, left), Luna gets to visit the aquarium "Sea Life" (row below, right). And lucky for the Sent clan, Ome Bob and Tante Edna, who live close to Scheveningen, happen to be home afterwards and kindly offer them dinner (row below, middle).
When Opa Ben and Oma Alie celebrate their twentyfifth wedding anniversary, they treat their children and grandchildren to an afternoon tea (row above, left and right). Luna seems rather bored by it all (row above, middle). Fortunately, Ome Geert is happy to keep her busy during the afternoon (left). And Tante Daan does so during the evening (right).
Little Luna's Logic

Mama: "Luna, you should not pee in the bath."

Luna: "No, mama, I will not do that. When I have to pee, I will stand up."

Give Luna a bubble blower and she is happy to entertain her young brother (row below).
Give Luna a pair of glasses and she is happy to entertain the adults with funny faces (row below).
When mom has to give a lecture in Ghent, Belgium, Luna gets to spend a day in Doesburg, where she has fun with Opa Ben, as always. The two make music together (below left), go for a walk (below middle), and watch clips on YouTube (below right).
Thanks to YouTube, Luna knows her classics when it comes to children's television. She loves "De Film van Ome Willem" and does a good imitation on the piano. You can see this in the video clip to which you have access by clicking on the link below.

"De Fabeltjeskrant" is also high on Luna's You Tube request list. She is especially fond of the song about Willem and the "waterpomptang." After singing it, she runs over to look at the video clip that mom made. You can see this by clicking on the link below.

Luna is very happy with her "Scheveningen hat" and mom likes the fact that her daughter looks so beautiful in it. When the weather is nice enough to enjoy the swing in the back yard, though not so nice that Luna can go outside without a hat, it is also sunny enough to take a few cute pictures (row below).

Hip, Hip, Hurray!
Thirtynine Months Old!

Our Moon Toddler is now big enough to go underwater all by herself (row above). This time, she is cheered on by Opa Ben (left) and her mom (right). Indeed, swimming on Thursday is the high point of the week for the extended Sent gang!
