Twentyninth Month of Luna Sent

As she enters her twentyninth month on Planet Earth, our Moon Child enjoys wonderful spring weather. This prompts Esther-Mirjam to make another trip to the Gamma to buy sand for Luna's sandbox. Indeed, mom has lost count of how many times she has gone to the Gamma during the past month! Luna loves to hang out in her sandbox (row below) and gets out only every now and then to enjoy her slide. And a stroll with her baby brother to get some ice cream also manages to entice her away from her sandbox, as you can imagine.
When Opa Ben and Oma Alie come over yet another time to help Lior, Luna, and Esther-Mirjam with the final things that need to be done in the house, they take a break from their hard labor by going swimming with little Luna (left and right). That is, Oma Alie gets to go in the water with Luna, while Opa Ben is put to work with the photo camera. Life is tough for a grandfather!
The Sent family is almost fully settled into its new home, just in time to receive visitors for Lior. The front shows the "Hurray, a boy" sign in the window (below middle). From the hallway, you can access the living and dining room (below left and right).
The hallway also gives access to the kitchen (left), from where you can walk into the back yard (right, below middle). A staircase gets you to the second floor (below left), where you can find a beautiful bathroom (below right).
The second floor also houses the bedrooms of Luna (left), Lior (right), and mom (below left). As you can see, Lior still hangs out in his mom's room! Yet another staircase (below middle) takes you to the study/guest room on the third floor (below right). For now, it is used to store yet to be unpacked boxes!
Upon noticing Lior's car seat in the hallway, Luna decides to give it a try (right). Can you imagine that it used to be almost too big for our young lady? She now has a much bigger seat and looks very proud sitting next to her little brother in the back of the car. She entertains him by singing her favorite children's songs.

Luna finally gets to take a trip outside of Nijmegen again. This one is to Apeldoorn, to visit Hans's children at the home of his ex-wife, Anneke. The latter very kindly invites Lior, Luna, and Esther-Mirjam to stay for dinner (top middle). They enjoy a delicious meal and are very grateful to Anneke for allowing them into her home. She is a very special person! Lotte makes wonderful drawings with Luna (top left), while Ruben shows Luna how much fun it is to draw on oneself (top right). Luna and Ruben also enjoy wrestling on the couch (left). After having put up a good fight, they make up and enjoy a cool drink together (right).

Opa Ben and Oma Alie make use of their zoo subscriptions one last time (top left and right). Opa Ben enjoys strolling through the zoo with Luna (top middle). He shows her the many animals, most of whose names she already knows (left and right). What a smart lady she is! Luna is especially intrigued by the fish. In between, they take a much needed refreshment break (left and right). Luna is lucky to have such fun grandparents!
Ome Ed comes over for a visit and spends lots of quality time with Luna, reading a book with her (left) and showing her how to tie her shoes (right). Ed is a teacher from Esther-Mirjam's elementary school in Doesburg and mom considers herself very fortunate that he went through the trouble of visiting her family in Nijmegen.
Luna has discovered a new talent, which involves making drawings with her poo-poo on her sheets and bedroom wall (far right). What children Esther-Mirjam has, with Lior going pee-pee on his bedroom wall, eh? Yet, when Luna gives her a sweet smile, mom finds it hard to be angry with her daughter (middle right).
When Aafke and Ruben come over for a visit, the former makes an outside bath for Ruben and Luna (far left). The two make such a mess that they need to take an inside bath afterwards (middle left). Luna is always so happy to see Ruben!
When Circus Renz comes to Nijmegen, Luna has to go, of course. To be honest, Luna is mom's excuse to go! Luna is highly intrigued by it all (left). Only every now and then does she grab her mom's hand. Luna poses with her sausage and a clown (right). And mom had planned to raise her daughter as a vegetarian. So much for those plans, eh?! It is a good thing that Lior's admission is free, because Luna's brother sleeps through the whole event.
When Ome Geert celebrates his birthday, Tante Daan and Luna take a playground break. Luna gets to sit on a giant spider (middle right) and go down a slide (far right). Such fun to visit Ome Geert and Tante Daan!
Tante Daan and Luna play "sleep" (far left) and "tickle" (middle left). As far as Luna is concerned, they could play this over and over again.
Ome Geert is trying to get Luna to kiss her little brother by setting an example. He kisses Luna at first (top left). However, this leaves Luna a little befuddled (bottom left). Only after he kisses Tante Daan (top right), does Luna get the message and copy the example (bottom right). Poor little Lior waits patiently through the whole thing!
Luna gets to relive her baby days with Lior's things. When mom puts the bouncing chair in the living room, Luna immediately discovers which buttons she needs to push to get it to play music. And she finds that she is way too big for the seat now (left). How much she has grown!
Now that Esther-Mirjam has two children and now that Luna is becoming such a big girl, mom decides that Luna can carry her own things and buys her a personalized backpack (top left). Luna rushes over to Lior to show it to her little brother (top right). He does not seem too interested, eh?! Luna also kindly poses for her mom (bottom, left and right). Esther-Mirjam once packs so much into the backpack that Luna almost falls backward. Poor baby. Mom decided not to take a picture of this!

Hip, Hip, Hurray!
Twenty-nine months old!

The celebration of Luna's twenty-ninth Month Day is "overshadowed" by the fact that it is Mother's Day. Poor girl! That is, she is fortunate enough to get to put together a Mother's Day present with Oma Alie (top row, left) and Opa Ben (top row, right). She clearly enjoys doing so (top row, middle). Esther-Mirjam is very curious as to what is in the lovely wrapped package (top, left) and finds it filled with chocolate, licorice, and coupons for a smile, a kiss, a night of uninterrupted sleep, baby sitting by Oma Alie and Opa Ben, and the like (top, right). So sweet! Luna also visits Oma Alie (middle, left) and Oma Naatje (middle, right). Such great grandmothers she has! She surprises them with a mug (bottom, left) that tells them that she loves them (bottom, right).
