| As Miss Moon enters her fifteenth month on Planet Earth, she continues to be a very easy-going toddler. Luna loves to visit people and places. She happily adjusts to whatever the plans are and loves to chat, play, or sleep in her car seat or stroller. Much of Luna's spare time is spent in the company of her mom's boyfriend, Hans. ... and visits Hans's second oldest daughter, Aafke, in Utrecht, where the two pose in front of Castle Zuylen. The castle was originally built in the 13th century, and parts of it still date from the 16th century, contributing to the castle’s medieval appearance. A famous Dutch writer, Belle van Zuylen, was born in the castle in 1740 and spent much of her early life in Castle Zuylen. ![]() |
Having a bath has always been and continues
to be one of Luna's favorite activities (right). She loves to make a
big mess of it all. Her mom tries to distract her with a book about
"Mimi's Toes." |

A little lady who is more than a year old needs
to wear proper bathing attire when going for a swim with her mom (left
and right), don't you agree? The disadvantage for mom is that it reduces
skin-to-skin contact, but Luna sure looks cute. |

After the swim Esther-Mirjam needs to
hurry to get to work, while Oma Alie spends a little more time in the
water and takes a long shower with Luna afterwards (left). But what
happened to Luna's bathing suit? Is she not a little too old to be showering
like this in public? |

Luna's hands are very expressive. She uses them to not only point to her nose, but also stick her finger in it (top left), to wave bye-bye (top middle), to make funny sounds with her mouth (top right), and to kiss bye-bye (left and right). Not pictured here is how Luna loves to dance with her whole body, including her hands. |

Luna is hoping that Hans's children
will accept her as their youngest sister. She is happy to hang out with
all of them. |

Here she is pictured with Hans's youngest
daughter, Lotte, who loves to play with Luna's hair. Luna seems less
excited about this. |

Friday, March 3 is an important day in little Luna's life for it
is the day Hans and Esther-Mirjam take her along to the city hall
in Apeldoorn (left and below) to register to get married this summer.
They pose in front of the city hall afterwards (right). |

Luna and Hans visit their 10,000 neighbors
when they go for a stroll through the cemetary next to Esther-Mirjam's
house. Luna fails to be impressed and falls asleep instead. One would
think that this is an uncomfortable sleeping position, but this does
not seem to bother Luna one bit. |
Luna's food menu is ever expanding.
After having gotten to love a warm apple, Luna is now getting accustomed
to eating a cold one. She seems to prefer the previous version. |

Big girls no longer need a special seat
to fit into the bicycle trailer. Actually, Luna is big enough to fit
into a bicycle seat, but Esther-Mirjam is overly protective of her young
daughter and feels that the bicycle trailer is a much safer mode of
transportation for her little darling. And Luna quite seems to like
it as well! |
Hip, Hip, Hurray! Fifteen months old! In celebration of her Month Day, Luna gets to play with garlands. She got a little scared when her mom tried to put them around her neck. This attitude also seems to keep her from trying to walk by herself. The consoling thought is that she will walk eventually. There is no hurry. Luna is loved just the way she is. |
